To: Bellevue West Little League Community
Dear Bellevue West Families,
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this extraordinary time. We are writing to offer an update on the Bellevue West Little League 2020 Spring Season.
The Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the season. We apologize that our decision took longer than some other spring sports; we were holding out hope that we could salvage the season.
We will be issuing refunds minus a small fee ($25) to cover our fixed expenses. If you prefer a refund in full, please let us know. Bellevue West Little League is a 501c3 non-profit run by parents for the love of the game and the community. If you are interested in donating your registration fee to the league, the first 25 families to do so will receive a new limited edition BWLL baseball hat.
Pending the decision of the Governor and the availability of fields, we are still hoping that a late summer league might be possible. Stay tuned.
Canceling the season is the heartbreaking outcome we sought to avoid. But health is paramount and we hope our Bellevue West teammates and friends are staying safe and well. We look forward to better days ahead when we can gather to celebrate our children, our community, the great sport of baseball, and hear those magic words once again ... let’s play ball!
BWLL parent volunteer Board of Directors
We have not decided on a cancellation or not for opening day, we hope to get all player pitch teams notified of the rosters and machine pitch next week.
