Softball Programs 2017
Bellevue West Little League offers softball programs for girls from the ages of 4 to 14. Our Divisions are designed to provide each player with a steady progression of skill development from Tee Ball to Junior Levels. In addition to our Tee Ball Division, Bellevue West offers two levels of Coach Pitch (A & AA), three levels of Player Pitch (AAA, Coast & Majors) and a Junior Division of Softball for players 13 & 14 years of age.
At all levels, our teams are created without a draft and are based primarily around a player’s League Age, school attendance and grade level, and we make every effort to accommodate a player’s teammate and coach requests.
Determining League Age

Tee Ball (League Age 4-5 / Pre-K & K)
The Bellevue West Tee Ball Division is designed to be an introduction to baseball for boys and girls who are League Age 4-5 years old and are in Pre-K or Kindergarten. Tee Ball is a co-ed program with teams primarily formed based on school attendance, and we make every effort to accommodate a player’s teammate and coach requests in the Tee Ball Division. The Tee Ball season starts following Spring Break and lasts approximately 8 weeks with two events per week (one weekday practice and one game on Saturday).
During the season, coaches will introduce players to the basic skills of throwing, catching and hitting. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee, and rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork; and parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in practices and games at this introductory level of Little League.
Parents of League Age 5 year olds that have already played a year of Tee Ball, or feel they have a skill level which allows them to play at the Coach Pitch level, may request that their player play in the A Division.
